If you are operating a farm business on your property, you are required to have an FBRN as soon as you report more than $7,000 of gross income (from farming) on your tax return. Not only will this qualify you for the Farm Property Class Tax Rate Program, but having an FBRN will also qualify you for significant government funding programs.
